Opening of the inflation tube with spring and valve The non-return spring or its plastic seat may suffer damage from too much pressure or from being pressed too deeply into the inflation tube. In extreme cases that may dislocate the valve and leave it permanently open.

To bleed air from the life jacket use the top of the dust cap to push the valve in Turn the dust cap around and push it into the opening. That presses the valve down, and the gas can escape from the life jacket. The dust cap has a depth limit to prevent any of the damage mentioned above.

Never use your fingers or objects with a sharp tip to actuate the valve Do not use a finger, and never use any pencils, screwdrivers or similar objects with a sharp tip for bleeding the air.

After bleeding the air use the dust cap to close the inflation tube When bleeding has been completed the inflation tube has to be closed by the dust cap again.
